SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Ever since Gov. Greg Abbott signed House Bill 1481 nearly a year ago, San Angelo schools have seen a significant decrease in distractions, alleviating stress from staff.
San Angelo ISD Superintendent Christopher Moran talked about the district's first year without cell phones in the classroom and its effect thus far.

The law was signed to minimize distractions in classrooms in favor of more hands-on learning. Even though it's only been a year, Dr. Moran says he believes there will be long term benefits for the district.
