
A bill moving through the House would mandate public school students to secure their cellphones and not be granted access to it until the end of the school day.
State Representative Mandy Steele tells the Big K Morning Show that more people are recognizing how problematic cell phones be in the classroom.
“Academic scores are plummeting but it’s also their mental and physical health so, we see hospital admissions for kids way up, obesity is up, anxiety is up, depression is up, suicide... is way up,” said Rep. Steele.
