All-day phone ban a hot topic as Modesto high schoolers adjust to new policy

Three weeks into the school year, students at one Modesto high school, at least, have mixed reactions about the district’s new cellphone policy. The Modesto City Schools policy, approved in June, prohibits students from using their phone at any point during the school day, including lunch and passing periods.
