After years of students-and even their parents-ignoring the rules, a Houston boys' school is taking a dramatic new approach: bring your phone to school, and they will destroy it.
Western Academy, an independent private school serving grades three through eight, has never allowed electronic devices on campus. However, after repeated violations, headmaster Jason Hebert announced a strict new policy: any device brought to school would be destroyed, the student would be suspended, and repeat offenses would result in automatic expulsion.
