Massachusetts Senate advances cell phone ban for schools

A proposed bill in the Massachusetts state legislature will compel public and charter schools to develop policies for prohibiting student access to cell phones by fall of 2026. The proposed legislation includes implementing "bell-to-bell" bans on phones or other mobile devices during class hours.
